A cold, dry evening, provided a good opportunity to start the raptor counts for the next few months. As is was kestrel were most numerous, with a brief sighting of a raven. Other species seen were barn owl, buzzard, and red kite.

While short-eared owl have been spotted in recent days, they are not yet giving regular opportunities to view them.
